On a single sheet of paper a poster has the ability to describe and portray the entire theme and thrust of a movie instantly drawing interest and creating a buzz. Today movie posters are an essential part of popular culture and as a result designs are becoming more exciting and interesting.
While we expect (but to our disappointment, don’t always receive) great poster designs from the major studios with their massive advertising budgets, some of the best and most creative movie poster art can be found in the arena of lower budget and independent films.

Nice bunch, though I hadn’t seen the Hurt Locker poster above previously. Didn’t they use a different one from the scene where he pulls up the star pattern of wires on the US poster?
